Recommended Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for Lectric XP e-Bikes on a 2010 Audi A6

Question:

I am looking for bike rack / hitch recommendations for my 2010 Audi A6 wagon. The vehicle doesnt have any towing hitch, etc. Hoping to carry 2 - 3 ebikes Lectrik XP brand. Thank you.

For your application you need to install the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11344 on your 2010 Audi A6 and then use the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202 for 2 of your e-bikes. This is the only setup that I know of which will accommodate for heavier e-bikes on a Class I hitch.

Since Class I hitches are a bit weaker you aren't able to carry more than 2 bikes and then the EasyFold XT is the only bike rack rated for heavier bikes (it can carry 65 lb bikes) as well as for use with the Class I hitches.

We had a customer submit a photo of this rack working with the step thru Lectric XP bikes (see attached) so you should be able to secure the bikes directly with the clamps of the bike rack, however you can use an adapter bar like part # S57FR to connect the hooks a little higher if you'd like.

Another add-on you might be interested in is the Extra-Long Loading Ramp # TH933402 which simply gives you an easier time loading your bike due to a better angle.
