Will Red Dot on Tekonsha Primus IQ Drain Vehicle Battery

The red light that you see on your Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160, even when the vehicle is turned off, will always be on and this is completely normal. The brake controller will go into a power saving mode after about 15 minutes of inactivity where it will only draw a few milliamps of power. Even if your vehicle sat unused for months with the brake controller installed, the Primus IQ would still not draw enough power to drain the battery.
