Kuat Bike Rack that Can be Used at Rear of Motorhome that Has Good Ground Clearance
Question:
you earlier recommened among other racks, the kuat sherpa to attach to our motorhome with 2 inch hitch. However it seems to have a low ground clearance and might drag ascending steep hills. DO you know the clearance? Could not find on internet.

We have a Kuat bike rack that is similar to the Sherpa that is approved for use at the rear of a motorhome but the Sherpa is not approved for that application. Instead the Kuat Transfer part # KU84FR would be a really great option that is. It's lighterweight at 37 lbs, only touches the bikes by the tires, and has great ground clearance. It actually has better ground clearance than the Sherpa since the shank is shorter and angled and the rest of the rack is carried higher.
