Suspension Upgrade For Triple Axle Trailer With 33 Inch Axle Spacing & 3,500 lb Axles

Question:

Tri axle trailer suspension upgrade cre3000, E-Z Flex? Trailer has a frame axle spread of 95, 33WB, 25-1/4 inch center to center 1-3/4 inch springs, 3,500 lb axles underslung mounting, frame hangers 3-3/8, EQ310 equalizers 4 inch tall, 6.06 inch center to center, front shackle 3-5/8 inch center to center, rear shackle 2-3/4 inch for each EQ 310 equalizer. Trailer is aluminum and used to move a 28 foot SeaRay boat that is well within the capacity rating for the trailer. The front axle takes a good deal of wear and I cant move the boat or the axles due to trailer cross members or boat configuration. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated, I have to make some improvement even if only to the front axle.

First, thanks so much for the detail you provided, it super helpful, and what you have is the Triangular Equalizer # TREQ310. This is one of the longer and taller equalizers, but since you have a 33 inch wheelbase, there is an option for you, from MORryde:

- MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers for Triple Axle Trailers w/ 33" Wheelbase # MR59ZR

- MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Triple Axle Trailers - 2-1/4" Long Shackle Straps # MR86ZR

You only need to take one measurement to ensure this will allow you the needed clearance from your trailer to your tire. What you want to do is measure from the top of your trailer tire to the fender/trailer floor, and that measurement needs to be at least 3-5/8 inches for you to have the necessary clearance.

If so, the MORryde will be a superb upgrade that allows for a much smoother, more comfortable ride when towing your boat trailer.
