Recommended Replacement Landing Gear System On A 1999 Jayco Designer 5th Wheel
Question:
The screw on my follower landing gear leg seized up and has stripped the gears at the top. I am looking for either the parts to repair it or a complete new unit. Thanks

Depending on what landing gear you currently have on your 1999 Jayco Designer 5th Wheel, we may have the appropriate repair kit for you.
If you have a Lippert power landing gear on your 5th wheel, then you can use the:
- Lippert Venture Follow Leg Repair Kit for 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear # LC146060 to repair your follow leg.
This landing gear replacement kit includes 1 follow drive shaft, 2 drive shaft bushings, 1 E-clip, 1 drive pin, 1 spiral pin, 1 12T bevel gear, 1 16T bevel gear, and 1 shim washer and is made proudly in the United States.
If you'd rather replace the whole system, then the Lippert Electric Landing Gear Set # LC333964 is a great option.
This landing gear has 37 inches of total lift, a combined weight capacity of 6,000-lbs, and has an electric motor that eliminates the need for hand cranking.
