Determining Which Electric Brakes Will Work For A 2001 Triton Snowmobile Trailer

Question:

I have a 2001 triton snowmobile trailer. It’s a 20’ trailer 2 axils. One axil has disk brakes connected to a surge brake system. Can I eliminate that and do just electric brakes. My truck is all set up for a trailer with electric brakes. Thanks

Yes, you can eliminate the use of your disc brakes and add electric brakes to your 2001 Triton Snowmobile Trailer.

I would need to know the weight capacity of your axle, what size drum you have on your current brakes, and the bolt pattern that your currently have on your wheels. There are a few different options it could be depending on the weight capacity of your axle.

The Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA is for a 3,500 pound axle and has a 10 x 2-1/4 inch drum. Nuts and lock washers # BRKH10B are sold separately.

If you can get back to me and tell me the weight capacity of your axles I will be able to get the correct parts for you.

I attached a review video link below.
