AutoSlider 5th Wheel Hitch w/ the Longest Travel that Mounts on Industry Standard Rails

Question:

Hi, I have a 2020 ram 1500 with a 57 bed with a super slide hitch. I have been using it for two years with no problem until last week on my 2020 Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS 5th Wheel. I was trying to back it into my storage space and the trailer hit my cab and rear window. so I have two questions. first what is the best hitch to use with my 2020 ram 1500 crew cab with 57 bed? Second, is there a manual slide hitch that will work with my moryride orbital king pin? Thanks

I have a great solution for you that will keep your Jayco Eagle from ramming into the back of your Ram 1500. It is the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # DM8550040. This hitch has a gross towing weight of 13,000 lbs which will be plenty of capacity for your 5th wheel. It mounts on industry standard rails.

The reason I recommended this hitch to replace your Pullrite Superglide is that the Demco has 22-1/2" of travel from front to back. This is an extra 8-1/2" than your Pullrite. You won't have to worry about hitting your cab again.

You will need the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Locking Plate for MOR/ryde Pin Boxes item # DM6025. This plate will prevent the king pin from rotating inside your Demco Autoslide item # DM8550040.

There are no other sliders available for your 5th wheel that have more range than your Pullrite Superglide.
