Recommended Slide Out Awning For An 81 Flange To Flange Measurement

Question:

My slide out flange-to-flange is 81 in long. What size do I need to order? I get mixed statements from RV dealer and your customer service. Please help.

The Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 7'1" Wide - 48" Projection - Black # LCV000165062 you were looking at already is the correct size for your 81" flange to flange measurement. This specific awning has a fitment range of 80" - 85" so you can expect a total overhang (including the arms) of approximately 4.5" on each side.

As long as you have enough clearance on both sides of the slide out so that this topper doesn't come into contact with anything you'll be good to go. If you do have something within 5" of the slide out then let me know exactly how close it is and we can size down accordingly.

I recommend also picking up some butyl tape # AL28FJ and non-sag sealant # AL28KV to ensure that no water leaks through your mounting screw holes. I've attached a video below where I'll help walk you through the installation process.
