When it comes to the cold weather and wanting a trailer cord that doesn't get stiff I recommend The Bargman 7-Way Molded Trailer End # 54006-009.
This trailer cord is insulated by a heavy duty blue silicon and is rated for weather down to -67 degrees Fahrenheit per the manufacturer.
