Can Extra Lights Connect to 2009 Honda CR-V Flat Tow Wiring With Bike Rack Installed

Question:

I flat tow a 2009 Honda CRV. I have installed a tail light wiring kit for the brake and turn signals. The wiring is connected to the 7 pole connector which connects to the motorhome. I have this configuration for 5 years. With the ignition key on the transmition is in neutral. I aslo have a battery charger tied into the motorhome. I installed a bike rack on the Honda. I feel that the lights are partially blocked by the bikes and I want to tie in some magnetic roof mounted lights on the Honda. Is there a problem with splicing another set of lights with the Honda lights?

You shouldn't have any issues tying in some lights into the lighting system on for your 2009 Honda CR-V.

For magnetic lights you can use the Optronics Heavy Duty Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK or if you have some trays on your bike rack you might like the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201 instead since these lights mount on the rack instead of on top of the vehicle.
