Can Shank of Swagman Traveler XCS # S64664 Be Replaced with Straight Shank

Question:

Hi, it seems from the images that the Shank rise: 10, the mounting part of the rack can be disconnected from rack itself? If that is the case, is by any chance the straight mount available separately so that in case you dont need to tow, you could just replace the raised part with the regular one? I guess it could be available as a spare part of something. For example Swagman Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier for 2inch Hitches or RV Bumpers seems to have such a part like a straight 2foot mount. Thanks!

The curved shank of the Swagman Traveler XCS you referenced, part # S64664 slides into a housing and is held in place by set bolts. The Swagman replacement shank, part # P306 would work for you.
