Will the Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive Work with Light Trailer on Sloped Driveway
Question:
Hi There! I recently bought a NuCamp T@G Boondock XL trailer that Im having a terrible time backing into and up my asphalt driveway. The driveway is curved and sloped I dont know the grade, sorry. Wondering if one of your trailer valets would work? The trailer is small and light with a gross total weight of about 1,400 and tongue weight of 119 -can that be right?. Its small but too heavy for my puny self to push up the drive, and cant seem to get the angle right either. Please advise.

Expert Reply:
The Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive part # TVXL2 has a slope rating of 10 degrees. Therefore so long as your driveway does not exceed this and you're under the 10,000 lb rating you'll be good to go. If you are over the 10 degree slope rating then we can't say whether it would work for you unfortunately but the slope rating is for the max weight of the dolly so if you have a much lighter trailer it would likely tackle a larger slope but this is not something we have data on unfortunately.
