Is It Safe To Use a Receiver as a Lifting Point On a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox
Question:
I am wondering if it is safe to use the hitch that I installed on my 2021 Equinox as a jacking point to lift the rear of the vehicle.

Expert Reply:
You should never use the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419 as a lifting point for your 2021 Chevrolet Equinox. The receiver is not capable of supporting the weight of your Equinox and may easily become damaged if you used it as a lifting point.
We do offer the Performance Tool Electric Car Jack # PTW1609 that will more easily allow you to jack up your Equinox and use Jack Stands # PTW41021 to safely work under your vehicle.
