Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2011 GMC Sierra V6

Question:

Hello, I have a 2011 GMC Sierra work truck regular cab with the 4.3 litre V6. My transmission temp has gone up to 239 degrees while towing. Im not sure what is too hot? Im wanting to install a transmission cooler, do you have a recommendation? Im not trying to tow crazy weight. Tent trailer and a quad in bed of truck. I guess its a decent amount for the smaller engine though. Thank you.

Yes, we do have a transmission cooler for your V6 2011 GMC Sierra. It is the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets item # D13613. This 11" Wide x 8-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep, radiator-style heat exchanger improves the performance and overall functioning of your GMC Sierra's transmission. Anything above 200 degrees starts to reduce the life expectancy of a transmission.

You will need the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM item # D13035 you were looking at to complete your installation.
