Solution for Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation With Broken Weld Net on Kia Sorento

Hi, I bought a hitch from you and now realize all the weld nuts on my vehicle are no good. I am wondering if grade 8 carriage bolts are strong enough? The hitch came with 10.9 Thank you

Expert Reply:
A grade 8 carriage bolt would be fine to use to install the # 75684 and is comparable to the metric 10.9. In addition to the bolts you will want a spacer block # RP3022 as well as 1/2" Bolt Leader # 80101-1. You can use the bolt leader to fishwire the bolts and blocks through an opening in your frame to get them in place for installation.
