Recommended Flat-To Wiring for 2019 GMC Canyon

Question:

Need help with tow wiring. I am trying to wire the ends of a 6 pin 2019 GMC Canyon to be towed behind a 7 pin 2016 Winnebago Navion 24G. Please provide all necessary information and parts to accomplish this. Also, GMC Canyon has BluOx Patriot braking system. Braking system needs to have power to operate without draining the GMC Canyon Battery. Thank you. FYI - the Winnebago shows the following diagram on the cover to the 7 pin: Clock position: 1 Oclock: Plus Sign + 3 OClock: RH Stop/Turn 5 OClock: Electric Brakes 7 OClock: Nothing 9 OClock: LH Stop/Turn 11 OClock: Running LIghts Middle of Clock: Backup Lamps Thank you

In order to setup a 2019 GMC Canyon for flat-tow wiring, I recommend using the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 which is a complete kit that has everything you need including an umbilical and six pin connector for the towed vehicle. The motorhome should already be wired correct and the wiring guide for the towed vehicle connector is on the actual plug so as long as you follow this there should not be an issue.

Please note, the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle part # RM-766 (Gas Engine Only) is recommend to prevent battery drain on the towed.
