Solution to Prevent an RV Entry Door From Swinging Freely When Opened

Question:

I have a forester 3011DS with an entry door that only opens to about 90 degrees, does not lay flat on my camper. Problem is it swings out into my awning when my grandkids let the door swing on its own. Do you make anything that would stop the door from overextending into the awning? We’ve tried adjusting the bottom but that doesn’t seem to do the trick. We’ve already replaced the arm of the awning twice because the bends prevent awning from closing. Thanks

I do have a solution for your door swinging problem. You can use the Replacement Controlled Motion Hinge for RV Entry Door # LC95VR (black) or # LC22NJ (white). This hinge will replace or upgrade the hinge on your RV door and uses controlled motion technology to hold the door open in any position and prevent it from swinging freely.
