Best Bike Rack For Himiway Zebra E-Bikes
Question:
Hello, I will soon have two fat tire e-bikes, 79 lbs each. Without batteries they are ~ 69 lbs. Still 9 lbs more than this rack is rated for. Kuat NV 2.0 1. The Rack looks very solid and is quite heavy. Can it hold more than is rated for? The bikes are Himiway Zebras. Thank you so very much

The Kuat NV 2.0 is an excellent rack, but its capacity is a maximum of 60 lbs and cannot carry more than it is rated for. Additionally, since these bikes have fenders, a wheel-mounted rack like the NV 2.0 would mean you'd have to remove your front fender every time you want to carry your bikes. So instead, what you will need to use is the following

The Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR has an 80 lb weight capacity, will be able to hold your 4" fat tires, and gives you the convenience of not having to remove the batteries, so you can just load up your bikes and go. Please note that if one of your Himiway Zebra bikes is a step-through, you will need an adapter bar, the Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO.
It also comes with locks for the rack and your bikes to help keep them safe, and is a tool-free install into your hitch. You'll just turn a handle to tighten it in the hitch, put in the locking hitch pin and off you go.
