Can the Roadmaster Invisibrake be Used with Magnetic Lights on a 1997 Jeep Wrangler

Question:

1997 Jeep Wrangler sport TJ Please would you advise me of the best way to combine magnetic towing lights with Roadmaster InvisiBrake. Do I splice the supplied InvisiBrake 4 wire harness into the 4 wire cable between the MH and the magnetic lights and is there anything else I need to install such as their Brake Lite Relay? Also where can I easily access the wire from the cold side of the brake light switch to operate the warning light in the MH. I would really appreciate your help with this.

You can use the Invisibrake, # RM-8700, with a magnetic lighting system by splicing into the 4 wires on the magnetic lighting system. The only difference from the instructions is that the magnetic light ground has to grounded to the Jeep chassis rather than through the 4-Way connector.

The brake switch is located above the brake pedal. On a 1997 Jeep Wrangler the wire you need on the brake switch is a white/tan wire. The easiest way to get to it is the direct approach. You may have to sort of lie down upside down on the vehicle floor to be able to see and work on the brake switch.

A brake light relay should not be required.
