Best Dual Hitch Adapter for Flat Towing and a Bike Rack

Question:

Looking for a dual hitch. Have a class A gas Motorhome with 5000lb tow rating, pull a Ford Focus using a Blox Ox tow bar. Want to add a bike rack onto the hitch as an accessory, Bikes are 2 folding bikes and have a Thule bike rack for these. For the towed car we have a 10 in ped hitch. Recommendation please?

I would be happy to help you find a dual hitch adapter for your Motorhome. I recommend the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 2 " or 8" Drop/Rise item # RM-077-8. This adapter has a Gross towing weight of 10,000 lbs which will be more than capable of towing your Ford Focus. It has a 400 lbs tongue weight for your bikes and bike rack. You will need to pay attention to your hitches tongue weight. The use of any adapter reduces your hitches tongue weight by 50%.

The Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver item # MPG544 you were looking at only has a 4,000 lbs capacity which does not look like it would be enough to flat tow your Focus.
