Assisted Kayak Carrier Solution for 2022 Mazda 3 Hatchback
Question:
Hi, etrailer! I own a 2022 Mazda 3 hatchback with an OEM roof rack. Its this one here: BDEN-V3-840 I already own a Thule Hull-a-Port Aero rack. Will this work on my Mazda? I need to be able to load my 42 lb. kayak solo and Im 53. I would love a Hullavator. What else do I need to purchase to make this work on my Mazda? Something like a Malone Airflow? Or is it just not possible? How about Yakima Sweet Rolls, if I cant spring for the Hullavator? Would that work on my Mazda rack? Thanks so much for your expert advice. I clearly dont know my options and appreciate the help. :-P

I really wish we had an aftermarket roof rack that fit your 2022 Mazda 3 hatchback but at this time we do not have any options. You'd need an aftermarket setup to carry the Hullavator part # TH898 since it requires bars that extend through the feet unlike the flush bar setup you have now. The only assisted kayak carrier solution we have that would work with your current setup would be the Malone DownLoader with TelosXL Load Assist part # MPG114MD-351XL with the top channel adapter # MPG8287.
