For a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and a Tekonsha Primus brake controller you will need harness # 3025-P. One end plugs into the brake controller, the other end plugs into a port on the truck. This port is located behind the black electrical box on the left side of the floor of the driver side.
Remove the cover and find the empty spot on the top row, second from the left. This is where the other end of the harness will plug in. There may be some additional connections you will need to make under the hood. I have included a link to an FAQ article that will help you.
In 2000 Chevy made both Silverados and C/K series trucks. If you have a C/K series then the brake controller will have to be hardwired in but I would need to know if if has a trailer connector and if so if it is a 4- or 7-Way.
