Distance From Ground To Inside Top of Receiver on etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2017 Acura RDX
Question:
Im looking to purchase the above mentioned hitch receiver to install on my 2017 acura rdx. However, the ground clearance height for the receiver ground to inside top of receiver is not mentioned on the website. Could you please provide this detail so that I could also buy a ball mount? Thanks.

The distance from the ground to the inside top of the receiver for the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e24AR is 12-1/2". I have attached an image below showing this measurement on the Curt # C13130. The etrailer hitch is identical with the exception of the matte black powder coat finish.
Since it sounds like you plan on towing, you will also want wiring. For the most reliable option I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118569. This plugs into the connection point in your rear cargo area and will give you a 4-way to power your trailers signal lights.
Although I do not know exactly what rise/drop you are looking for, I recommend checking out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference along with a helpful article on measuring trailer hitch drop for ball mount selection.
