Can GM 3500 OEM Puck System be Replaced with B&W Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
Im looking at purchasing a 2017 or newer GMC Sierra 3500. Most of the trucks Im finding have the factory gooseneck/puck kit installed. Would I be able to remove the factory gooseneck components and install a BandW so I can utilize the Companion 5th wheel hitch that I already own?

From my understanding you'll be able to remove the factory puck system from your 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 so you can install the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1020, but I have an alternative solution for you that will have a similar cost but be much easier to use.
If you keep the head unit from your current Companion system you can mount it onto a new base, part # BWRVB3710, which fits directly to the puck system on any year model of GMC 3500 you mentioned. Not only is this system lighter, but it also makes things easier since you won't be removing the OEM hitch and installing a different one.
