Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2013 Lexus ES 350

Question:

I am trying to find a low profile rack preferably in a silver color for my Lexus. I am told that the roof is the same as a 2013 Avalon Toyota. I only need it to carry a pair of surfboards, so it doesnt need to be heavy duty, but would like to be able to connect one of those baskets. I do not want to risk damaging the paint, as the Thules I had, did to my Toyota pickup. I see only the Yakima and Thule listed under the Lexus, and the Inno under the Avalon. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for all of the information. While Inno does make a great roof rack system, I checked with their fitguide to see if we had overlooked something but it doesn't look like they have something for your 2013 Lexus ES 350 so for your application I recommend using the Yakima JetStream system:

The clips used to clamp to your door jambs have a protective coating over them and then the rubber pads that go under the towers all work to protect the paint of your vehicle - just be sure you clean the surface of your vehicle where these will be making contact to avoid any debris rubbing the paint off.

One of my favorite things about the Yakima roof rack system is the adjustable legs. During the installation you'll adjust the pitch and toe settings so your crossbars are level so this is a mechanical adjustment instead of adding a thicker rubber piece like we see with pretty much every other roof rack system.
