Troubleshooting Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller That Brake Force Does Not Change From 0

Question:

With the trailer connected - .c. - the P2 indicates zero braking. When I pull the lever all the way left and turn the setting wheel the indicator does not change from zero. What can be done to fix this? Also, is the wiring harness the same for the P2 and P3? Thanks

It sounds like your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 is in some way damaged since you are unable to change the braking force with the power wheel. The unit would need to be replaced, and as it has a limited lifetime warranty you would need to contact Tekonsha with your information.

The Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 does use the same connector as the P2 controller you currently have.
