The 2013 Honda Fit Online Reference Manual on page 159 states that both manual and automatic transmission equipped Fit models can indeed be towed behind a motor home if the specific preparation procedures shown are followed. Those procedures are critical to avoid damage to the vehicle. I urge you to review and follow the guidelines shown in your owners manual and if you have any uncertainty contact your local Honda dealership for clarification about your particular vehicle. The vehicle manufacturer is always the final authority on such matters.

I have linked an article that covers all the basics of flat towing; this may be helpful to you. In addition to the Demco Base Plates, part # DM9519236, you will also need a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring/lighting kit and a supplementary braking system. For a tow bar you could use the Commander, part II # DM9511012, for 2 x 2 inch hitches; a video for this tow bar is included for your review. The unique independant arms design of this tow bar makes hookup easier than with rigid tow bars. It also includes safety cables.

For lighting, the simplest solution is a magnetic light kit; this type avoids the need to cut and splice into the wiring in your 2013 Fit. Magnetic light kits install in minutes and without tools. A great example of this type is part # RM-2120.

You will also need a supplemental braking system; I have linked an article on the types available. A popular pre-set type is the Roadmaster 9400, part # RM-9400, which is among the easiest to install.
