Mounting Location For 40 Amp Circuit Breaker On 2011 Ford Ranger
Question:
Where would I put the 9510 to protect my system? I would be pulling an old restored 69foot Forester camper and using the new 7 pin system. Also I will need to put a fuse system and diistibution box in my camper. We need to be on the road in 2 1/2 weeks. Do LED lights give enough lite to read by. What style LEDs do you carry ?

The 40 amp. In-Line Circuit Breaker, part # 9510, mounts near the battery under the hood of your vehicle, typically on the firewall. I have linked you to a video that shows installation of a 7-way and a circuit breaker.
If you do not have the trailer wiring on your 2011 Ford Ranger, I would recommend the Draw-Tite Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for the Ford Ranger, 2011, part # 18252. This is not a plug and play option, but the # 18252 is simple to install. Locate the wiring harness behind the rear bumper that feeds the taillight assemblies. Have someone activate the left turn signal, and use the included tester to pierce the insulation of each wire until you locate one that makes the tester blink. Then, tap the yellow wire on the harness into this wire. Do the same for the right turn (green wire) and running light circuit (brown wire). Attach the white ground wire to the trailer frame.

You would then need a 7-way connector like part # ETBC7. This will plug into the 4-way connector and give you the 7-way connector. This kit includes 3 circuit breakers. (1) 20 amp, (1) 30 amp, and (1) 40 amp, and includes the mounting bracket and hardware needed for installation. I would also recommend the Long No-Drill Mount Bracket, part # 18138. This bracket allows you to install the 7-way connector without drilling. I have linked you to an installation video on a 2011 Ford Ranger. The video also shows a brake controller being installed.
If you have a 4-way connector on your Ranger, you would just need the ETBC7 to change to a 7-way for your trailer. I have linked you to an FAQ article for the ETBC7.
If you are considering a brake controller, I would recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller, part # 90885. This proportional controller provides smoother and more efficient braking, which reduces stress on the brakes of your towing vehicle.
We offer junction boxes like part # 38656. This box is for 6-way or 7-way trailer connectors and made of heavy duty weatherproof and corrosion resistant plastic. I have linked you to an installation video for this junction box.
We offer several LED interior light options. I would recommend a surface mount 9-LED light, part # LIL9L. I have linked you to our product page for interior lights that would work for your trailer.
Unfortunately, we do not offer any fuse systems or fuse panels.
