Surge Drum Brakes to Electric Drum Brakes on a 4,400 lbs Axle
Question:
It looks like my axle plate bolt pattern is offset top to bottom. Is there an electric swap for this style?

Yes, there are electric brake assemblies available for you to swap out your surge brakes that will fit your bolt pattern. It sounds like you have a 4,400 lbs axle that has a different 4 hole pattern. I linked a diagram of it below so you can confirm.
If this is what you have you are going to want the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 4,400 lbs item # K23-462-463-00. Or the never adjust Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 4.4K item # K23-478-479.
You will also need Deka Jacketed 2 Wire, 10 Gauge, Brake Wire - per Foot item # 10-2-1 to wire up your new brakes.
I recommend adding the Trailer Wiring Junction Box - 7 Color Coded Terminals - ABS item # 3375601101 to your trailer. This will consolidate and secure all of your trailer's wiring connections into one central easily accessible location. You will also need the 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector, 4' Long item # H20043.
