Hi, I have a 2019 Dodge Ram limited and wanted to tow our 7700lb trailer with the tailgate down. I already have an equalizer hitch. Would this part number work for me, or do I need another part number. I believe the tongue weight limit is 1100lbs but not 100 sure and was looking for some guidance.

The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4600 will extend your current Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET 6" further than the original shank. You will want to remember that as you turn the jack or any other objects on the trailer tongue will move closer to the tailgate, so be sure that you verify that it will not contact your tailgate while turning.
