The Solera Smart Arm models are available in 16', 18' and 20 ' options. The 18' Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning, # LC517505 that you linked to is a highly rated awning. If you are wanting to replace an existing awning, proper measurement is done by measuring from the center of one arm to the center of the opposite arm. Not from outside to outside of assembly. If you are looking for a 17 foot awning as measured by the fabric, you in fact have an 18 foot awning as most assemblies, as measured by the described method above, have fabric that is right at or slightly wider than 17'. For example, the 18' Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning, # LC517505 that you linked to has fabric of 17-1".
If however, you are looking for a 17' foot awning, as measured from center-to-center of arm, we have the Solera 12V XL Power RV Awning, # LCV000334998-362241. This does not have the same Smart Arm controller but it does have the auto rain dump feature that releases water when it pools in the canopy then automatically returns to the original position. And it also is an extra deep projection awning, the fabric on this awning is 16'1" in width but projects out a full 9'8" (116").
