Will Saris SuperClamp EX Work with Fat Tire Bike

Question:

I have a bmw ‘08 m3 sedan with a Stealthhitch and bought a Thule pro xt 2 bike platform carrier. Problem w clearance now because I recently put coilovers in the car. Also not happy w the 3 point clamping. I’ve carbon mtb and a fatbike w 4.6” tires. I was looking at the Saris superclamp ex bc of curved shank. Would like some guidance

The Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # SA4025F is a great solution for transporting bikes with your 2008 BMW M3 and the Stealth Hitch Receiver # SH97VR. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel tray measures 12" and it also has a 5" rise in the shank so it will help out with that clearance.

The only thing you'll need to keep in mind is that this rack is compatible with up to 4.5" tires. Since yours are 4.6" you might be able to get them to work but you might also need to upgrade with the Fat Tire Adapter Kit # SA4419 which works with tires up to 5" wide.
