Overhead Door Springs On Enclosed Trailer Frequently Breaking

Question:

I need some info about ramp door springs. My enclosed trailer has garage door springs over head and they are frequently breaking. I wand to add the trailer ramp springs. I see part number RS16933RH My hinges have much smaller hinge pins, approximately 1/2 diameter and everything I see is 1.5 diameter.

With your over head garage door springs frequently breaking you may not have the correct capacity springs for your door. We have kits that range from 80LBS # M374FR up to 250LBS # CB250D96SHD. The weight rating is not the door weight but the amount of force required to raise the door at any given point. The easiest way to check this is with a scale while raising the door. If you can tell me the weight you are seeing on a scale I can help find the correct system for your door.

The Ramp Spring # RS16933RH that you found is designed to work with ramps on a open trailer. We will not have any that fit your 1/2" diameter hinge on an enclosed trailer.
