Correct Adapter for Blue Ox Base Plates with Roadmaster Tow Bar

I purchased a 1999 Jeep Cherokee with a Blue Ox base plate already installed. I have a Roadmaster tow bar and need to get the adapters to fit the base plate. My research tells me that the Blue Ox RM-031 adapter is what I should be getting, but dimensionally, the Demco RM-034 adapter looks like it will fit as well. The spacing between the 2 flat bars on the Blue Ox base plate is just a hare over 5/8, and based on this discussion, , it looks like that one will work as well. Its over twice the price for the Blue Ox adapters so Im wondering what the difference is.

If you have a motorhome mounted tow bar then you will need to use the Roadmaster Tow Bar to Blue Ox Brackets Adapter part # RM-031 for attaching to Blue Ox Base Plates. If you have a vehicle mounted tow bar then you will need to use the RoadMaster Base Plate to Blue Ox and Demco Tow Bars Adapter part # RM-033 for attaching to Blue Ox Base Plates.
