Parts Needed to Install Thule Wingbar Roof Rack on 2014 Toyota RAV4 XLE with Raised Rails

Question:

I have a 2014 Toyota RAV4 XLE. My situation is depicted in option 2 above, Factory side raised rails that run front to back. I am interested in the following: Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style - Folding - 1 Kayak Item # TH849000 Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 47inch Long - Qty 2 Item # TH711220 In order to complete this setup, I read where I would need the parts that the crossbars go into. Can you provide what my options are in different price ranges? Id also like the ability to re-use these if indeed we sold the vehicle, I wouldnt sell the racks and J Hooks with it. Also, what are the advantages / disadvantages of the 47inch vs the 53inch besides 6? I dont want to much overhang from side to side as I want to be able to pull the vehicle into the garage without worrying about hitting the sides.

To install the Thule Wingbar Evo crossbars # TH711220 on the raised side rails of your 2014 Toyota Rav4 you'd need the crossroad feet part # TH710401 which is what attaches them to the rails of your vehicle. This will work great with the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero kayak carrier part # TH849000 that you are wanting. This is basically the only option to secure these bars to your vehicle roof.

This is recommended bar length from Thule so I would not recommend going with a longer bar. It's hard to say if this rack would transfer to a future vehicle without having that info but Thule does a good job fitting their racks to new vehicles so I'd say it's very likely.
