Is the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack Compatible with Step-Thru Bike Frames

Is the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack compatible with a step through bike? If so, is the shorter clamp or the longer clamp better to use and what part of the bike does the clamp attach to? Thank you.

Yes, the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 is compatible with step-thru bike frames. You'll use the shorter clamp for a bike that's loaded on the tray that sits closer to the vehicle and the longer clamp for a bike on the tray further away from the vehicle. If you're only carrying 1 bike then either clamp works just fine.
The clamp needs to connect to a solid part of the bike frame so if you were to connect it to the seat post or handlebar post you'll want to make sure it's on a part that is still part of the frame and not the inner tube that adjusts up and down for the seat or handlebar post. If you can't find a good place to attach to the frame then you may need an adapter bar like part # TH982XT so the clamp has something to grab onto between the seat and handlebar posts.
