Brake Controller for 2019 Chrysler Pacifica
Question:
I just bought a 2019 pacifica with factory towing. The vehicle has both 4 and 7 wire plugs. Do I need a brake controller

Expert Reply:
Because your 2019 Chrysler Pacifica has the factory 7-way, connecting a brake controller will be very simple. I recommend the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller, # TK90160 installed with the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # TK93VR Simply plug in one part of the adapter to the controller and the other part to the port underneath your dash for a simple plug-and-play install.
This brake controller activates trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action on trailers equipped with electric brakes up to 3 axles (6 brake assemblies). For any trailer equipped with a brake axle from the manufacturer, it is best practice to use a brake controller when towing.
