Will The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent FV807350 Work With MaxxAir FanMate RV Roof Vent Cover
Question:
I have a MaxxAir powered vent currently with Maxxair Vent cover. Happy with vent cover not fan it will only work from the remote now. I have decided to go back to fantastic brand fan but ubgrade to 807350 model becuase of remote feature and wifes hight. I have concern about the power lift pushing lid into the Maxxair cover. I want to leave the cover installed but dont want it causing damage to lift motor or mechanical parts. What is the hight of lid when the lift is fully extended mesured from bottom of roof mouting base of fantastic fan? Is there a limit, or adjustment on stroke of the lid opening?

I understand your concern with the vent lid of the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, # FV807350 contacting your MaxxAir FanMate RV Roof Vent Cover, # MA00-955001. It will make contact as the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent is 11-1/2" when open and the MaxxAir FanMate RV Roof Vent Cove is 10" tall. However, this has come up in the past, and per the manufacturers Tech Rep's, the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, # FV807350 has a powered lid that is designed to stop when it meets resistance; preventing damage to the fan assembly.
