Will The Reese Goose-Box Work With The Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch For 5th Wheel Rails?
Question:
I have a 2001 Ram 2500 extended cab with rails installed in bed. I have a CURT Bent Plate 5th Wheel Rail Gooseneck Hitch – 25,000-Lb. Capacity, Model# 16055 that installs in the rails. Will this RP85FRwork with this configuration? Will there be any issues installing this part? Any special install instructions needed? Thanks!

With your 2001 Ram 2500, you will have no issues using the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP85FR with your Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails # 16055.
However without knowing what bed size you have we cannot guarantee you won't have clearance issues when making a 90 degree turn.
If you have a long bed, you should have no issues, but if you have a short bed you'll likely have an issue.
