Trailer Hitch Fit Suggestion for 2022 Honda Pilot
Question:
Which hitch for my 2022 Honda Pilot? The stuff about the hitches not fitting certain spare tire sizes confuses me. Can you please explain?

I'd be happy to help with that. Because of the way the rear structure of the 2022 Pilot is designed, there isn't a lot of room for the hitch. If your spare tire is mounted on a wheel larger than an 18 inch, the spare tire will no longer fit under the vehicle. This holds true for all the available hitches.
The best solution if your Pilot has the 20 inch wheels is to find an 18 inch steel wheel and have a tire mounted on it. It's not the best idea to use a differently sized spare tire, but it'll work well enough to allow you to limp it to a tire shop.
Of the available hitches, I'd recommend the etrailer brand Class III hitch, part # e98840. If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # 118760 for a 4 pole trailer connector or # 118286 for a 7-way. For a ball mount, use # 2753 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball.
I've linked to install videos for the hitch and the wiring harnesses mentioned above.
