2022 Chevy Equinox Malone and Thule Roof Rack Comparison for Raised Rails
Question:
Malone or Thule roof rack for the raised rails on my 2022 Equinox? There is a big difference in price so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it or not.

Great question! Ultimately I recommend using the Thule roof rack for your 2022 Chevy Equinox but there are a few comparisons to make here:
Malone
AirFlow2 - # MPG215
Thule
47" WingBar Evo Crossbars - # TH711220
Evo Raised Rail Feet - # TH710401
Lock Core Kit - # TH450400 (optional)
The biggest initial difference you see is the Malone comes with the crossbars, legs, and lock cores right out of the bag while the Thule comes with individual parts you have to order. Once we are past that though the similarity is the legs of both clamp over the raised rails in a similar fashion. Where everything starts to differ is once we are in the installation/in-use process. The Thule will be easier to adjust the clamps and the lock cores will operate more smoothly than the Malone will, plus the Thule has sturdier crossbars and a dual rubber channel in the T-Slot as opposed to having to press the rubber strip down to install an accessory.
