Upgraded Equalizer and Shackle Kit for a 2010 Bullet Premier Trailer

Question:

Hello, Im in the process of trying to get parts for my 2010 31ft Premier Bullet. It has the tandem Dexter 3500 axle and the Dexter 13-142 hanger. I have noticed the springs are week and all the bushings in the center hanger are gone, so it leaves it chucking while being pulled. Im looking at replacing the 4 springs and the center hanger, preferably with upgraded units with maintenance ability. May you provide part numbers for what I will need for the repairs. Thank you

We do have an upgraded equalizer for your Dexter Curved Equalizer item # K13-142-02. You will want the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers item # LC314336. For upgraded shackles and wet bolts you will want the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers item # MR46ZR (2-1/4" shackles) or item # MR76ZR (3-1/8" shackles). These kits come with the bronze bushings, wet bolts and shackle straps.

To find out what size springs you need for your 2010 Bullet Premier Trailer you will need to measure your current springs from the centers of one spring eye to the other. This distance is going to determine which springs will fit as a replacement. Since you have a 3500 lbs axle, we can narrow down the options.

If your old springs measure roughly 23-1/8" long from eye center to eye center you can use item # e59SR. If you have 27" long springs you can use item # SP-210275.

To correctly measure a leaf spring, you'll want to jack the trailer up on jack stands so the axle is hanging freely, then measure directly across from the center of one spring eye to the other. I linked a diagram below to show what you will need to measure.
