Replacement Attachment Tabs for Blue Ox Base Plate on a 2014 GMC Terrain
Question:
Trying to be sure I buy the correct base plate tab attachment. I Bought a used 2014 GMC Terrain which has built-in base plate, wiring, etc so I can flat tow it behind by RV. However, the dealer only had a Tab attachment that was too short for the small shank to catch and lock. I noticed that Road master tow system seems to use this same blue ox tab attachment. I also found a tab attachment made by Curt which looks like the one the dealer tried to use but it would not catch and lock. Also the Blue ox tab attachments both short or long have the same length of the smaller shaft. I measured the internal length of the tab ion at 51/4. So which tab attachment should i purchase? Thanks for your help

If you have Blue Ox baseplates then the Curt # C97ER will not be what you need. You would need the Replacement Attachment Tab Assembly for Blue Ox Baseplates # BLU37XR which fits the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1689. The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1689 is the only Blue Ox base plate kit with removable tabs that we have that fits the 2014 GMC Terrain.
This is the most likely option, but without knowing the exact model number there is no way to be sure. But the Replacement Attachment Tab Assembly for Blue Ox Baseplates # BLU37XR does replace the attachment tab assembly for many Blue Ox baseplates.
