Does Higher Rated Fifth Wheel Hitch Use Different Size King Pin
Question:
I have a Kingpin rated for 18k and am replacing the hitch but you only have the 20k or 25k in BandW companion fixed. Are these compatible?

You can use a higher rated fifth wheel hitch than the rating of the trailer or pin box. The king pin sizes are all the same and there is no need to worry about compatibility so the 20k Companion hitch part # BWRVK3775 would work great if you had a short bed but if your 2022 Chevy Silverado 3500 with the OEM prep package was a long bed a fixed hitch version like part # BWRVK3710 would be the better way to go.
