Recommended Suspension Add-On for 2020 Toyota Tacoma Towing with Weight Distribution

Question:

Hello. I have a 2020 Toyota Tacoma. I am pulling a single axle 4800lb RV with a 950lb ATV in the back of my truck. My truck sags a bunch! I have an e2 weight distribution system installed, but it still sags pretty badly. Should I look at getting heavier duty leaf springs, a sumospring system, air bag system I have a compressor installed already or maybe a hellwig helper spring? Wanting to level out the back of the truck. Thanks!

I recommend going with the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit, part # RAS4524-SAT for axle above leaf springs or part # RAS4514-SAT for axle below leaf springs. This system is going to engage automatically so there is no takeup like with upgraded jounce springs. They can also be adjusted to better suit your exact needs unlike upgraded jounce springs. In comparison to air bags, these will require maintenance whereas the RAS will not. They only offer the sleeve type air bags for this vehicle which are not the greatest or else I would recommend them.

In regards to setup, set the RAS to the max support settings during install, then hook up to the trailer and reapply spring bar tension. Basically, you want the RAS to engage first, then your WDH.
