Does Using PD52 Require Additional Transfer Switch When Adding Inverter

Question:

Hello I have a 2022 Cyclone 3413 that is equipped with the Progressive dynamics PD52 that is wired to the shore and generator. I want to add an inverter so we can run the outlets off the inverter. Do I need to add a second transfer switch and wire the existing transfer switch output to the input to a new second transfer switch and then add the inverter input new second transfer switch? Thanks

The PD1600 series contains an internal transfer switch. We do not recommend feeding the output of the inverter back to the MAIN AC distribution panel due to the fact that a fully operational panel would quickly drain the battery and the converter/charger must be isolated from the inverter when the inverter is operating.
We recommend feeding the inverter AC IN from the main panel and feeding the AC OUT to a sub panel for multiple branch circuits or directly to a single branch circuit.
