To tow a trailer behind your 1995 Jeep Cherokee, I recommend The Curt Circuit Protected Converter # C56175. This harness hardwires to your existing harness behind your tail lights. It is a 16 gauge bonded wire with a 4-flat plug.
I have attached an installation video below of the part being installed on a different vehicle but it is the same concept.
