Congrats on your trailer purchase and we can definitely get your 2016 Jeep Cherokee set up for towing it. Since you need everything it's going to seem like a lot of parts, but I promise it isn't as complicated as it may seem initially. First, let me go ahead and start with the basics for your '16 Cherokee, the hitch and wiring harness:

- eTrailer Hitch # e73ZR

- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118605

- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7

For the hitch, I really like the etrailer not only because I trust their quality the most, but also because it provides the best bumper clearance for your ball mount.

Then you'll need the T-One 4-way to activate your trailer's lighting functions, and the 4-way will then plug into the 7-way adapter that comes with the # ETBC7, which also has the rest of the wiring and hardware needed to compete the wiring set up for a brake controller. Speaking of the brake controller, there is one that I really like, and here is what you'll need for that, along with the ball mount:

- Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller # TK63VR
- Brake Controller Harness # 20127

- MaxxTow Adjustable-Height Ball Mount # MT70068
- 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40005 or 2" Hitch Ball # 40038 or 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # C40002

The reason I like the BRAKE-EVN is it simply does the job of providing the braking needed for your trailer without any added fluff.

Then for the ball mount, its adjustable height is going to cover the bases needed to connect to your coupler, and you just need to choose the correct hitch ball based on the size of the coupler. It is very likely not 2-51/6" but I wanted to be thorough to make sure you got what you needed. And with those parts you'll have a complete towing set up for your '16 Cherokee!
