Location of Brake Controller Port on 2001 Ford Expedition
Question:
I can not find under the dash the female part where this adapter s into. I have searched and used your pictures but they do not help. The only thing that looks like where this could go actually turns the horn on and off and I believe works the cruise control. Help. Are there other pictures that you can send to me? Did all 2001 expeditions come with the prewired harness where this s?

The female port for this part should be located underneath the dash close to or behind the center console, it is gray in color. It should be very close to the OBDII diagnostic port, the large trapezoidal shape plug by the center console underneath the dash. I spoke with one of our installers and he said it should be within a 6 inch radius of that OBDII port.
We have a video on a 2007 Expedition, but you said you have searched our site so I assume you have seen it. I will include a link in case you have not seen it. I have also added a link to a Ford Brake Controller Help page, again you may have already seen it.
Some Ford vehicles have had the adapter under the dash over on the glove box side of the center console, or behind the glove box itself. Your connector port should not be there, but it may be.
