Will the GearDeck 17 Hitch Mount Enclosed Cargo Carrier Fit a 2011 Mercedes Benz G Class
Question:
This may be a solution for us..I am trying to determine the space from the closest point of the box or mounting base to the hitch receiver to see if this unit will sit behind the tire carrier.

The GearDeck 17 trailer hitch mount enclosed cargo carrier # H00604 could be the solution you are looking for to carry cargo at the back instead of on the roof. You just need to take one important measurement. Measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on the vehicle straight back to the distance required to clear the rear bumper.
If that distance is LESS than 14 inches, then you can use this carrier. (It should be!)
I have included a review video of the carry for you to see the carrier in action.
